Engine Management

Pressure/Vacuum Hand Pump Tool

When faults occur in the engine management system, a diagnostic tool may point to a fault with a specific component, however failure (or indicated failure) of components may be due to problems with other components in the system - the functioning of related parts therefore needs to be checked.

Pierburg's pressure/vacuum hand pump can be used for conducting inspections and adjustments on a variety of these components; practically anywhere engine-independent pressure/vacuum is needed. Components that can be tested include ignition distributors, throttle bodies, EGR valves, brake boosters, turbos and central locking.
